Pamela Clemit

Pamela Clemit is Professor of English Studies at Durham University. She is the author of The Godwinian Novel (OUP, 1993) and has written many essays on William Godwin, Mary Shelley, and their intellectual circle. She has published a dozen or so scholarly editions of writings by William Godwin and Mary Shelley. She has held visiting fellowships at the New York Public Library, All Souls College, and Wadham College, Oxford. She is the General Editor of The Letters of William Godwin, a six-volume OUP project, for which she also edited Volume I: 1778-1797 (2011) and is currently editing Volume II: 1798-1805.
